Colombia - El Placer - White Honey Geisha - 250g
After harvesting, the Geisha cherries are placed in sealed tanks where they undergo a carbonic maceration for 48 hours. The coffee is then pulped and lightly washed, leaving some of the mucilage on the parchment. It is then dried in the sun, covered overnight, until the moisture content reaches between 9 and 11%.
Herbs, aromatic plants and flowers which grow naturally in the farm have been used during the post harvest process.
This coffee immediately seduced us with its balance and aromatic complexity, which gives pride of place to the characteristics of the Geisha variety, with a predominance of floral aromas (honeysuckle, bergamot), a subtle combination of sweetness and acidity reminiscent of white peach, notes of lemongrass and a comforting buttery touch.
A great coffee, to be enjoyed both as a filter extraction and as espresso.
