Curt Madison, a fascinating person with many great stories and experiences, fell in love with Ecuador when he first visited the country in 2014. Curt met Betty Delgado soon after landing in Ecuador and moved to the remote area of La Papaya all the way from Alaska to grow the beans he’s been drinking all his life.
Since then, Betty and Curt have built a house and grown a plantation of coffee which has one of the best views in the country. Not only that but their coffee has been renowned for its quality and has won various awards.
Alaska del Sur produces Gesha, Typica Mejorado and Sidra. This lot of Typica Mejorado was traditionally washed with 8 hours fermentation in cherry.
