Ecuador - Finca El Dorado - Washed Gesha Lot 2 - 125g

We are pleased to offer this Lot  #2 from Finca El Dorado, a washed Gesha processed with particular care: one day of fermentation in cherry, followed by five days in mucilage, then washing and slow drying to 11% humidity. A precise protocol designed to preserve the purity and delicate aromatic character of the Gesha.

In filter brewing, the cup opens with fine floral notes - white flowers, apple blossom - before moving toward a profile reminiscent of white tea. When hot, the expression remains subtle, then gains definition as it cools: a clean, bright acidity emerges, accompanied by soft citrus (mandarin, pink grapefruit) and a gentle, slightly umami depth. The texture is supple and very fluid. The orange‑toned character leads the cup, sometimes joined by a hint of redcurrant or raspberry. The overall impression is clean, delicate, and highly drinkable, driven more by finesse and the way the cup evolves than by strong aromatic intensity.

As an espresso, this lot reveals a different dimension. The texture becomes ample and silky, the acidity gains intensity, and the fruity character expresses itself more clearly. The cup is bright and long, with a citric tension that supports the floral notes beautifully. The length on the palate is particularly impressive.

An truly special espresso, expressive, and deeply elegant.
